What I did today.

Good evening. Have you had a good day. Nothing special happened here. I went to coffee morning and took some sewing with me. I try and join in conversations but it's difficult when a room full of people are all talking together. I say hello when I walk in, then find a table away from everyone else and sit doing a bit of stitching. Keeps my hands busy.
I can pick out a few words by lip reading and watching body language. The talk seemed to be about medical matters. Several of the ladies were rubbing their left arms. I took that to mean they were exchanging jab stories. I enjoyed my caramel latte and custard tart.
I was late getting there because I chatted to the ladies waiting at the bus stop. The 10.25 hadn't turned up at 10 50. A bit inconvenient for those wanting to go to town. I found out later that the bus had broken down. The earlier bus hadn't turned up either. That is the one which takes the kids to the college. One of the parents had to get her car out and give them a lift.
I called in at Angela's after, for a natter. She had a news channel on the big screen. It was a bit repetitive, and I already knew the news anyway. Her hubby was mending a broken suitcase and asked if his stitching would hold it together. I said it might for a while but I have some cotton which is much stronger which would be just right for the job. I took it round to him later so he could make a better job of the repair.
I couldn't decide whether to go for a walk this afternoon, the weather was quite mild, or carry on with the summerhouse tarting up job. I needed to paint one side of the new free door, so I got on with that. It's alright keep putting jobs off, but they still have to be done eventually.
I did a village walk from 7 to 8pm to make up for the one I didn't do this afternoon. I microwaved a bowl of sliced potatoes in cheese sauce for my dinner tonight. Mayze looks on patiently while I eat it because she knows she will get to lick the bowl out after. Barely had I eaten the last piece of potato when she starts yelling at me.
I haven't sorted the photo situation on the computer files so I dug this one out. I think it is about 2 or 3 years old, maybe more. Getting ready for the winter. That is an old jacket that I wore to death. I have another one similar, and I still have the thick woolen skirt.
Chill time. I am finding some good stuff to watch on yoootooob. Last night I watched a documentary about the largest container ship in the world. It was fascinating. Have a look if you fancy something different.
When the first ship of the brand-new OOCL-fleet begins its journey, more cargo is moved at one time than anywhere else in the world and ever before. The vessels are the largest ever constructed -

Thanks for popping in. Toodle pip.   ilona
