A visit to Furness Abbey

I am sure there are some interesting places to visit in Barrow, but I didn't want to be driving around looking for them. I picked one out, Furness Abbey, because I was there 50 years ago. Not that I can remember anything about it. I followed the signs and arrived at the main car park. It was getting a bit late in the day and thankfully they were still open. I had a lovely chat with the lady at Reception. She told me about a new viewing platform they had built, and she relieved me of £8 the entrance fee. 

There was no one else there so I had the place to myself. It was lovely to wander around with nothing but the birdsong to accompany me.
